O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds ~ Psalm 71:17
Our junior high-college students meet together on the first Sunday of the month from 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm. We always enjoy a variety of games including spoons, ping-pong, soccer, and nation ball.
Our monthly lessons focus on a topic that serves as our theme for a year. In recent years we have considered family relationships, world religions, and a Reformed understanding of worship. We are currently studying evangelism.
Our monthly meetings often include various service projects for the church. We have washed our hymnal covers, written letters and cards to some of our missionaries, and even helped make decorations for our Ladies’ Tea.
It has become an annual tradition for us to plan and to host a dinner for others. We have had as our honored guests the “older” members of our church, our parents and siblings, and local pastors who have filled our pulpit in the recent past along with their wives.
Once a year we also participate in a prayer vigil in front of a local abortion clinic and help process shoe-boxes for Good Samaritan’s Operation Christmas Child program. We also join other youth in our presbytery for various other service projects and fellowship times throughout the year.
